The “Embroidered dreams” International charity project helps children who were affected by war in Eastern Ukraine or found themselves in difficult situations, teaches them to earn money for their creative needs rather than ask for it. The main goals of the project are:
- promoting children’s creativity by combining art history lessons with embroiding.
- teaching children creative work and business basics.
- helping kids orient on the modern market of goods and services.
- IDP adaptation.
- embracing Ukrainian customs and traditions.
Having started out in May 2015, the project now covers Kramatorsk, Kostyantynivka, Druzhkivka, Pokrovsk, Krasnohorivka, Zolote, Slovyansk and Siversk, gathering 170 children from 4 to 16 years old. Charity fairs have taken place in the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine, in Croatia, Slovakia, and in cities of Lviv and Kyiv. With the money earned at the fairs, we buy books and art materials for the kids to develop their creative skills.
Dear friends, you are welcome to help children with embroidery threads and cloth, fruit and dried fruit, cocoa, cookies.
